Meet local artists in person
EXPLORE NEW TALENTS
Gather with the community
We North Shore residents enjoy a small, close-knit community away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, but many of us have long wished for more local activities and cultural experiences.
In March 2024, Lamont Brown brought that wish to life by hosting the first First Friday Hale’iwa at his newly renovated restaurant, The Fixx Haleʻiwa.
Now, with the restaurant officially open, the event has been hosted at a creatively repurposed vacant tenant space within historic Haleʻiwa Town.
The North Shore is brimming with extraordinary artistic talent that deserves to be seen and celebrated. We invite you to join us in supporting our vibrant local creative community right here in Haleʻiwa.
Currently, First Friday Haleʻiwa takes place every other month. Our vision is to grow it into a monthly event that spans the entire Haleʻiwa Town strip — creating a lively, family-friendly nightlife where both residents and visitors can come together to celebrate art, culture, and connection.

Aloha North Shore Community,
You’re the reason First Friday Haleʻiwa continues to shine. Every smile, every conversation, and every piece of art you bring home helps lift our local creatives. As a small nonprofit, your support truly fuels everything we do.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re moving through some changes. Our previous exhibition space at North Shore Marketplace is no longer available, and we are actively searching for new locations to showcase our artists’ work.
Many event details for 2026 are still in progress, and we will share updates as soon as they are confirmed.
In the meantime, you can help keep the momentum strong:
💙 Share the Aloha—spread the word about First Friday Haleʻiwa / Waveline Collective and support our creative community.
💙 Buy local—every direct purchase helps an artist grow. Shop from local artists this holiday season!
💙 Stay connected at wavelinecollective.org for announcements and opportunities.
Thank you for standing with us through every twist and turn. Your encouragement makes it possible for us to continue creating space for art in our North Shore community.
Happy Holidays, and mahalo for being part of our journey. We look forward to growing this initiative together.
For ideas, suggestions, or collaboration opportunities, please feel free to DM us at @firstfridayhaleiwa or email us at info@wavelinecollective.org.
Mahalo!
